India’s oldest and the most popular political party Congress has lost all the four by elections, including the one in Hisar in which Anna had campaigned against the Congress. Now, it is concluding that such results are due to‘Anna effect’ and that is probably the conclusion that Anna Hazare supporters and team Anna would jump to, but this is simply not the case.
Not only this Congress has also lost the other three bypolls in Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra in which Anna had not campaigned. The results indicate a deep cynicism against the ruling party.
